Parapet for MEP & structural

Your data lives in spreadsheets.
Your model should agree with them.

Equipment schedules, load calcs, member schedules, cost codes - they arrive as CSV and Excel and someone retypes them. Parapet Link puts them on families and spaces with validation; Hub fixes systems, worksets and phases in bulk; Audit finds the consultant DWGs slowing the link.

From the engineer's export to the model

CSV in, validated parameters out - no retyping, one undo.

Spreadsheet rows flow through Parapet Link - preview, map, validate - into Revit parameters, and back out. CSV or Excel from the calc tool → key on Mark / Type → validate → push to families and spaces.

Equipment schedules

Key on Mark or Type Name. Map flow, pressure drop, power, weight, manufacturer - shared parameters created if missing. Rows whose element is not in the model are flagged, never written.

Spaces and zones

Design airflows, occupancy and zone names from the load calc onto Spaces; MEP spaces from rooms in Hub creates the spaces first if the architect's link only has rooms.

Members and connections

Section sizes, grades, fire protection and cost codes by type from the structural schedule; export the model's quantities back for checking and round-trip corrections.

Hub actions for systems and coordination

GroupActions
MEPConnect open ends · system report · total length · MEP spaces from rooms · write room name/number into hosted elements
CoordinationMove to workset · phase created / demolished · set level · check pinned · find duplicates at the same location · select warning elements
GeometryRotate · move by offset · align elevation · flip · mirror check · model summary
DataFind & replace · copy parameter → parameter · parameter math · sequence numbers · copy type value to instance · check parameter filled
VisualizationColor by parameter (system, workset, phase) · 3D view with section box · isolate / hide · reset overrides

The linked-model problem

The architect's model arrives at 900 MB and your link regenerates it on every view. Most of that weight is imported CAD. Free Parapet Audit lists every DWG in your model - and, opened in theirs, gives them the list to fix. Guide →

Typical jobs

Mechanical equipment list (CSV from the selection tool) onto families by Mark
Design airflow per space from the load calc spreadsheet
Cost codes and Uniclass by type across ducts, pipes, cable trays
Worksets by system and level, phases for the refurbishment scope
Color by System Type for the coordination meeting, reset afterwards

Questions engineers ask

Our calc tool exports CSV with odd headers - does mapping still work?

Yes. Map any column to any parameter; fuzzy matching suggests, you confirm. The mapping is remembered per source so the next export maps itself.

Can it write type parameters?

Yes, and it tells you how many instances a type change affects before writing.

Does it work in Revit 2020 on the structural side and 2027 on MEP?

Yes - one installer, one key, every version 2020-2027.
